Analytics implementation

Opportunity:

We needed a new innovative tool to ensure that we can debug the ~40 BCBSNC web portals and cut down processing time. ​Adobe's debugging tool required multiple clicks to gather information and shows generic labeling for data.

Process:

​Armed with the challenges from Adobe and the business needs, my team created a bespoke debugging tool.

Result:

• ​The new tool:

  • looks at every page of a portal to make sure information sent to Adobe is correct. 

  • shows with only a single click.

  • ​shows the labels with internal terms we use to describe the data we collect.

  • has the ability to change the labels within the debugger as our implementations change. Thus, updates to extensions don't require code updates and republishing to the Chrome web store.​
